THE BABIES LOUNGE

Mondays, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

A little gem for new parents on the shoreline! Designed for expecting parents & new parents with babies up to one year. Young siblings welcome. Located at LYSB’s Activity Center with ample room for strollers, bucket seats, nursing moms,  diaper changing, and a kitchen for warming bottles or food.
A place to come and relax, reflect, & chat with other new parents while enjoying free coffee, snacks, guest speakers, and memory making crafts.  This program is facilitated by Kim O’Malley.  Learn more about our facilitators here.

• SESSION II: October 19 to November 16, 5 weeks, $25
  Oct 19 – Guest Speaker: Brenda Moriarty RN, C.  Brenda has spent thousands of hours in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for special needs babies. She has hands on experience with “multiples” (twins, triplets, quads, quints). Brenda would love to hear your questions and talk about the importance of baby cues & skin to skin contact beyond birth.
  Oct 26 – Halloween Fun & Customs
  Nov 2 – Feeding, with Ariel Fisher, RN, IBCLC.  What is your journey? Breastfeeding, lactation, pumping, combo feeding, supplementing, and/or formula feeding. Ariel can help you through some of the challenges feeding an infant & baby.
  Nov 9 – Kallie Branciforte, blogger, That Practical Mom. Kallie will chat about the ‘chaos’ and how to get through it while finding ways to enjoy these special times with your little ones.
