Trailblazers

Trailblazers is an important new leadership initiative for the 2025-2026 school year.  This program has the goal of nurturing leadership, independence, and resilience through a series of transformative events during the next school year.  

Participating will be twelve students entering grade 6, who have been nominated by their elementary school Principals, Mrs. Enoch or Mrs. Hine.

Our 6th grade student leaders will spend the day on Monday, August 18 with our partners at Outside Perspectives for a wilderness-based rock climbing expedition, including team building initiatives, belay instruction, and rappelling.  A family cookout at LYSB with Mr. Ambruso and Mr. Ventola will cap off the evening.  

Additionally, student leaders will participate in two regional leadership conferences during the school year, and monthly lunch meetings with LOLMS administrators to foster their leadership roles at the middle school.
